Back to Ballet Boot Camp is a one-week intensive program designed to polish dancers’ technique and return them in top form to their fall programs. For students who attended an intensive program earlier in the summer, the boot camp will allow you to maintain and show off your summer progress. For those dancers who may have focused on other pursuits this summer, the program will allow you to return to Fall ballet with confidence.
We offer a Half Day Program, a Full Day Program and our Tune-Up Program. See Program page for more details.
We accept students aged 12-13 with three or more years of classical ballet training and students aged 14-18 with four or more years of classical ballet training. Students age 15+ may register for our Summer Tune-Up Program.
Program Directors Kathy Stark and Joseph Jefferies bring many years of experience to their teaching. Their emphasis on individual coaching will hone dancers’ technique and encourage their development of personal style.
In 2015, Back to Ballet Boot Camp guest instructors included Cheryl Madeux (who danced with Joffrey Ballet, Hartford Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre), Chip Morris (Director of Acton School of Ballet and the Commonwealth Ballet Company), and David Prottas (currently with New York City Ballet). Please check back later for details on our Summer 2016 faculty.
