Back to Ballet Boot Camp is a one-week intensive program designed to polish dancers’ technique and return them in top form to their fall programs. For students who attended an intensive program earlier in the summer, the boot camp will allow you to maintain and show off your summer progress. For those dancers who may have focused on other pursuits this summer, the program will allow you to return to Fall ballet with confidence.
We offer a Half Day Program, a Full Day Program and our Tune-Up Program. See Program page for more details.
We accept students aged 11 and up with three or more years of ballet training. Each year, we welcome students from dance schools throughout MetroWest Boston.
For students aged 11, we recommend registering for the Half Day program (Full Day with Director permission). Students age 15+ may register for our Summer Tune-Up Program
Program Directors Kathy Stark and Joseph Jefferies bring many years of experience to their teaching. Their emphasis on individual coaching will hone dancers’ technique and encourage their development of personal style.
This year, Back to Ballet Boot Camp expects to have the following guest instructors: David Prottas (formerly of New York City Ballet and touring cast of An American in Paris); Cheryl Madeux (former dancer with Joffrey Ballet, Hartford Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre); and Lindsay Moncrieff (the Acton School of Baller Artistic Director).
